The design of Mascot's GFLO globe style control valve originated from the need to solve the most common valve operational issues such as, seizing, excessive leakage and the high cost of spares, maintenance and loss of production. Even thru to today, many end-users continue to purchase Control valves with designs that still present with these problems. Mascot Control valves are without question best suited to tackle and resolve these fundamental operational problems for those Customers whom are intent on minimizing process operating costs.

Mascot's extensive knowledge and experience of the Chemical, Petro-Chemical and Refining production and processing applications allows Mascot Engineers to select the correct valve for the End-users applications. With a focus on maximising End-users production and reducing overall plant operating costs, the design of our Control valves provides the lowest MTBPM against our major competitors.

The two most common modes of control valve failures are Passing and Seizure or Sticking. MASCOT GFLO Control valve design eliminates these problems and hence enhances overall Plant and Process performance

Passing & Excessive Seat Leakage is caused by trim erosion & wearing (wire drawing) of the plug and seat and where pressure balanced trim designs are typically used. Mascot GFLO control valves with unbalanced trims provide exceptionally tight shutoff and this minimizes trim erosion and wear.

Seizing / Sticking is caused by close tolerances typical of cage-guided trims. Mascot GFLO control valves utilize Non Cage Guided Trim Designs and hence do not suffer problems with either galling or sticking.
